With center Harry "the Horse" Gallatin and guard Dick McGuire, the Knicks once again reached the NBA Finals in 1952 and 1953, though it lost both the series to Minneapolis Lakers.

The original logo of Father Knickerbocker, dribbling a basketball has seen a lot of revisions. The current triangular logo with three dimensional modernized lettering was unveiled in 1992. It was altered slightly to include the word New York' in it.
